SafariCity is located in Mateves, Arusha City Council. SafariCity conveniently connects major facilities within Arusha City, with a relative distance of 3 km from Arusha Airport, 13.5 km from Arusha City Center, 50 km from Kilimanjaro International Airport (KIA), 165 Km from Ngorongoro Crater, and 225 Kilometers from Nairobi.

SafariCity is an exquisitely planned Satellite City designed and owned by National Housing Corporation. The land size is 559.4 Acres overlooking Mt. Kilimanjaro and Meru. The city is artistically designed to envisage the needs of tourism opportunities within the northern circuit.

Satellite city is a smaller city near a large city that is the center of a metropolitan area. Satellite Cities are different from suburbs and subdivisions because they have their own center.

4. When will construction of the entire city be completed?

There is no completion date for the city because there are many different types of buildings to be constructed e.g. Residential, Commercial, Social Amenities and infrastructure and utilities. Not all these structures will be constructed by National Housing Corporation, we also require other investors to participate in the construction of the city meaning that completion will be linked to the rate of investment into this city.

6. What is currently being sold at SafariCity?

As National Housing Corporation commences execution of SafariCity, the Corporation is inviting individuals or institutional investors to buy serviced plots in SafariCity. The plots sizes range from 300 to 1500 square meters per plot and are allocated on the residential development zone. The plots are serviced with basic infrastructure such as water, electricity, and roads.

Prices offered per square meter vary accordingly to the zone which the plot is located.

8. Who is eligible to purchase land at SafariCity?

Every citizen Tanzania is eligible for the purchase of plots in SafariCity. Non – citizens may acquire land for investment purposes only and through Tanzania Investment Centre.
